the backstory

I've spent more than a decade teaching people just like you to embrace their uniqueness and share their voices.

When I first started teaching public speaking as a graduate assistantship, I thought I would be telling people not to read off their slides and how to make eye contact with an audience. And there was some of that.

But it quickly became clear that the real things my students needed to learn were CONFIDENCE, AUTHENTICITY, and PREPARATION SKILLS.

The slides thing and weird eye contact were symptoms of being uncomfortable. Of not feeling confident in their material or themselves. Of not allowing themselves to be authentic and connect to the audience. Of thinking they could just throw things together at the last minute and still be prepared enough to feel good about their work.

But when we focused on mindset shifts and owning their voices, believing that what they had to share was special and unique, and preparing in the right way to feel ready, my students were transformed.

Weekly Virtual Coworking
